Pedestrian Struck by Sedan on Northwest Doaks Ferry Road

Salem, OR – Salem police responded to a collision involving a pedestrian and a sedan on Northwest Doaks Ferry Road Thursday morning.

According to Salem Police Department spokeswoman Angela Hedrick, the incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Doaks Ferry and Northwest Hidden Valley Road. A man walking along the road was struck by the sedan and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The crash temporarily closed the area, with authorities reopening the roads around 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing police investigation. As of Thursday afternoon, no citations or arrests had been made. Police have not released details on the exact location of the collision.
