Salem, OR— On Thursday afternoon, the Keizer Civic Center was filled with pride and celebration as 23 local teenagers were recognized for their perseverance and success despite facing significant challenges. The Turnaround Awards ceremony honored students from Salem and Keizer who overcame anxiety, peer pressure, personal hardships, and academic struggles to achieve success in school.

The annual event highlights the determination and resilience of young people who have defied the odds, serving as an inspiration to their peers, families, and the broader community. School officials, family members, and community leaders gathered to applaud the achievements of these students, emphasizing the importance of support systems in helping youth navigate difficult circumstances. The awards not only celebrate individual accomplishments but also underscore the value of encouragement and understanding in education.

“This ceremony is a powerful reminder that with the right support and determination, students can overcome even the toughest challenges,” said a local school representative. “These young people have shown incredible strength, and we’re proud to recognize their hard work today.”

The Turnaround Awards continue to shine a light on students who have turned their lives around, inspiring others to pursue their goals regardless of the hurdles they may face.
