Wilsonville, OR — A woman was shot Monday evening following a heated argument in an apartment complex parking lot in Wilsonville. The Wilsonville Police Department (WPD) is actively investigating the incident, which occurred around 8 p.m. on Southwest Canyon Creek Road.
According to WPD officials, several 911 calls were made reporting gunshots near the 26000 block of Southwest Canyon Creek Road. Responding deputies arrived at the scene to find evidence of gunfire in the parking lot, along with two vehicles that had been damaged. However, by the time officers arrived, the parking lot was empty, and the involved parties had fled the scene.
The woman, who was reportedly shot during the dispute, was not immediately located at the scene. Authorities are currently working to identify the shooter and gather more details about the events that led to the shooting. No arrests have been made as of yet.
Police have not released the identity of the victim, and it remains unclear whether she was directly involved in the argument or if the shooting was a result of escalating tension between other individuals.
“We are still in the early stages of this investigation,” said WPD spokesperson Officer Emily Stone. “We’re reviewing evidence, and our detectives are actively following up on leads.”
The WPD is urging anyone with information about the shooting or the individuals involved to come forward. The apartment complex is located in a relatively quiet residential area, and the shooting has left residents shaken.
“At this time, we’re working with local authorities to ensure public safety in the area, and we will provide updates as more information becomes available,” Officer Stone added.
As the investigation continues, police have asked that anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information contact the Wilsonville Police Department or Crimestoppers.
The shooting has raised concerns about public safety in the area, and residents are hopeful that authorities will quickly resolve the case.
