Salem Man Charged in Connection with Suspected Domestic Violence Killing

Salem, OR – A Salem man, Logan L. Wilkins, has been formally charged in connection with the death of 35-year-old Ashley J. Gandolfi, who was found dead after an alleged domestic violence incident on January 27, 2025. Wilkins faces charges of second-degree abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence, authorities confirmed.

Prosecutors allege that Wilkins assisted Tyler A. Holman, 39, in moving Gandolfi’s body following her fatal shooting. Holman has been indicted on more serious charges, including second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon, in connection with the incident.

Both men are currently in custody, with Wilkins’ bail set at $100,000. The case has drawn attention to ongoing concerns about domestic violence in the Salem area. This latest development follows a string of similar cases, including a high-profile arrest in August 2024, when a 33-year-old man was detained after a woman suffered multiple gunshot wounds during a domestic dispute.

Investigators are continuing to piece together the events surrounding Gandolfi’s death, which has shocked the local community. Authorities have yet to release further details about the relationship between the victim and the accused, or the specific circumstances that led to the tragic shooting.

The case remains under investigation as the legal proceedings continue for both Wilkins and Holman.
